Wilder Gold Award

At their annual conference in April 2021, Texas Association of Museums (TAM) recognized several regional museums for excellence in graphic design. The 20th Anniversary Commemorative Booklet for the Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum earned first place for Museums in its size category in publication design: Mitchell A. Wilder Award, Gold.

I am grateful for the opportunity to create a comprehensive snapshot of the founding and growth of the Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum in Cuero, Texas, from 2000 through 2020. Since the first membership brochure, I have been part of the Museum’s development and donor relations for many of those 20 years.

The booklets’ narrative was developed by Terri Schexnayder, with photography by Paul Bardagjy. Printed on Mohawk Options by SmithPrint, with special finishing by Diversified Printing. The limited edition of booklets is a special acknowledgement of donor and community support, over decades of development.
